You are who you are

“After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
Matthew 3:16-17

Joe Gomez is a man of character. Raised in church. Loved by his family. He feared the Lord and dedicated his life to following Him. God blessed him. He prospered in all he did. Joe fell in love with a beautiful woman named Anna. They married and began the great adventure of living for the Lord together. God blessed them with children. As they grew, one day their eldest son was found doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. Joe pulled his son aside looked him in the eye and said “You are my son. We do not do those things.” Your thoughts towards yourself determines your actions and reveals your character. The devil will try to convince you that your life does not matter and that you should live a life of lust and sin to make you happy. Sin has momentary pleasure but produces death. His deception is to keep you from fulfilling God’s plan for your life and being a blessing to others. Never forget who you are. You are a son of God. Bought with the precious blood of Jesus. As a child of God, we should keep ourselves holy unto God. The Holy Spirit will lead you into good works that will bless the world and show the glory of your Heavenly Father. Walk with character and integrity. Do what is right because it is right. If you fall, get back up. Repent and move forward. God is going to give you victory. Walk in love. Forgive. Guard your name. You represent the King. The Bible says be Holy for I am Holy. God will bless you and give you a great legacy of faith that your family will be proud of. You are a Son of God.

Prayer: Father, I am your son. It is my desire that the world will see you in me. Holy Spirit teach me how to live. Help me to walk in love and integrity. Change my life. I believe in you Lord Jesus. Thank you for saving me and bringing me into the household of faith. In Jesus name, amen.

Now go something great for God
