He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.’Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’
Luke 19:12-13
There is a law that God has released in this world called the law of stewardship. It works for the believer and unbeliever. Just like we all must breathe air to survive, this law is in operation in all our lives. The law is simple. Whatever you take care of will increase. Whatever you do not take care of will decrease or die. This law is not made to destroy you. You can use it to increase. If you can accept it, you can focus on the areas that you desire to grow. Be a good steward and you will reap the blessing that comes with it. There are five areas of life. Spiritual, physical, social, mental, & financial. If you are faithful, you can reap the rewards in every area. Why do marriages fail? It because they were not good stewards of their marriage. Why do bank accounts empty? They are empty because people have failed to be a good steward of their money. If you are faithful, God promises to increase.
Here are some suggestions to make you into a good steward:
Spiritually: Come to church, study the Word, Give the Word to others.
Physically: Watch what you eat, exercise, drink plenty of water.
Socially: Be friendly to others. Listen to others. Invest time into others.
Mentally: Be a student not a critic. Always read. Allow others to mentor you.
Financially: Tithe. Give offerings. Pay yourself by placing money into your savings. Spend wisely. Buy the things you need. Save for the things you want.
Prayer: Father I thank you for Your wisdom. Because of Your faithfulness, You have raised me up to have authority in this world. Help me be a good steward of Your blessings. Place Your principles of management in me. Allow Your Spirit to guide me. I will be faithful Lord. In Jesus name, amen.
Now go do great things for God
