Explorers

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.

Psalm 46:1-5

In 1492 Christopher Columbus set sail into the unknown. With a firm belief that the world was round and a heart determined to find out, Columbus led three ships from the shores of Spain and into the books of history.  The world was round.  America became his prize.  Adventure is a gift planted in the heart of mankind.  The desire to go and explore is a natural attraction inside of us.  We must always remember that we are created in His image.  These desires are from God.  He is inviting us to our own great adventure. “The walk of faith.”  To be able to stand in the face of death, equipped with the Word of God is an adventure.  Believing what His Word says and not what we see.  Many run from the challenge, but God has equipped you for every battle.  As long as you live, you will go through trials.  You will be pushed to see what you are made of.  Do you have faith?  We do not have a choice.  There are storms coming our way.  You can run for cover into self pity and fear, or you can rise up to the challenge and face the adventure in faith. Remember God’s Word.  He is an ever present help in time of need.  The bigger the storm, the bigger Your God will show forth His power.  Something good is going to happen.  Fight the good fight of faith.  Don’t be afraid to go into the unknown.  Let the adventures begin.  Praise God!

Prayer: Father, I thank You for always watching over Your Word.  You do not rest or sleep.  As I believe and step out into the unknown, You are my strength and my shield. I believe that all things work together for my good.  I will not fear.  I will trust You.  You are my faithful God.  In Jesus name, amen.

Now go do something great for God
